Vegetato Desert Camo

Introduced for general issue in 2004, the Vegetato Desert camouflage (also known as 'mimetico Vegetata deserto') is a desert version of the classic Vegetato Woodland camo and current desert pattern of the Italian Army units. It is a 3-colour mottled camouflage, consisting of various jagged edged blotches, in light tan, ochre and chocolate brown, on a sandy-beige base. Such set of colours results this characteristic camo pattern works perfectly in desert and subtropical environments, especially dry and sandy arid surroundings. It is also worth mentioning that although its finely textured spotty appearance is often mistaken with a digital camouflage pattern, the Vegetato Desert is mimetic rather than disruptive type of camouflage.
